We are an independent reseller
ad6mski is an independent seller of secondhand garments. We are not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by, or connected in any way to any of the houses whose garments we resell. We are not an official stockist and we do not represent any brand.
Brand names and model names appear on this site for one reason only: to identify what a garment actually is. That is what they are for and it is the only way to describe a secondhand piece honestly. All trade marks, logos and brand names belong to their respective owners.
What we photograph
Every photograph on a lot page is of that exact garment, taken by us. Labels, tags, hardware and any flaws are photographed and shown at full size, and you can open any image and zoom into it before you buy.
Campaign photography elsewhere on this site is styled imagery. It is not a photograph of any lot for sale and nothing in it is for sale.
How a lot is checked
Every piece is inspected in hand before it is listed. We look at:
- Construction: seam type, stitch density, how the garment is finished on the inside.
- Labels and tags: main label, care label, size tag, and any factory or lot codes, checked against known examples from the same period.
- Hardware: zips, buttons, rivets and their markings.
- Fabric: hand, weight and composition against what the piece should be.
- The piece as a whole, against references for the season it comes from.
If we cannot satisfy ourselves that a piece is what it claims to be, we do not list it.
Confirm. Strike any line above that you do not actually do. A short honest list is worth far more than a long impressive one, and this is the page a buyer will quote back at you.
Condition grading
Every lot carries one of four grades. They mean the same thing every time:
- Mint. Unworn or indistinguishable from unworn. No flaws.
- Excellent. Worn lightly. No flaws worth photographing.
- Good. Honest wear consistent with age. Any flaws are listed and photographed.
- Fair. Significant wear, fading or damage. Listed, photographed, and priced for it.
A grade is never used to hide a flaw. Anything we can see, you can see.
Confirm. These are a sensible standard set, not a legal requirement. Change the wording if you grade differently, then use exactly these words on every listing so the grades never drift.
If a lot is not what we said it was
If a piece you bought from us turns out not to be genuine, return it and we will refund you in full, including postage both ways. There is no time limit on this.
Confirm. This is the standard serious resellers hold themselves to and it is the strongest single line on this page, but it is a real commitment. Keep it only if you will honour it.
Repairs, alterations and reproductions
Archive garments are often repaired or altered before they reach us. Where a piece has been repaired, altered, taken in, or is a later reproduction rather than the original season, it is stated in the listing itself, not buried here.
